Complete Downtown Pensacola Guide 2018

Let's not let the beach have all the fun!! Downtown Pensacola is not one to miss! After Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and Katrina a year later, many of the businesses in downtown relocated or simply shut down, but in the past couple of years the area has had a complete revival! From restaurants, to shops, to bars, to museums there are no shortage of things to do. You can even catch a minor league baseball game in the BEAUTIFUL Blue Wahoos stadium located right on the water. So here's our SDD complete guide of what not to miss when visiting Downtown Pensacola!

To Eat

The Fish House: An absolute staple. This spot has been hopping long before Dylan started flight school and it's still here because of delicious food and a bay front view.

Al Fresco: Who doesn't love a food truck? Now how about 4? Set up in the cutest little courtyard? I thought so. I'm a big fan of Calaveras fried avocados! YUM.

Carmen's Lunch Bar: Delicious fresh food with an international flair and the perfect spot for people watching. See our full blog post HERE.

Bubba's Sweet Spot: This is Bubba Watson's shop, complete with ice cream, bulk candy, and fudge. The birthday cake fudge is a personal favorite.

Historic Pensacola Village: The beautiful historic homes of downtown do not disappoint. Definitely worth a stroll!

Pensacola Ferry: This brand new ferry operation will take you from the bay to the beach without a bit of traffic. Sign us up! You can check their schedule HERE.

Nation Naval Aviation Museum: Okay, so not technically downtown, but just a 25 minute ride will get you a massive air conditioned hanger full of historic naval planes and helicopters. This place is so much fun for military and non-military alike. Perfect place to bring kids.

To Drink

Pensacola Bay Brewery: This cute spot has tasty beers and a friendly staff, after an afternoon of viewing historic homes you can pop in for a frosty cold beer.

World Of Beers: As the name would suggest, they have a lot of beer. A favorite with the husbands! Pro tip: Drop them off and hit up Gray Boutique and Rustic Arrow

McGuire's Irish Pub : All the Irish pub food you can eat and all the booze you can drink. You must order and Irish Wake complete with souvenir glass. And you'll definitely want to snap a photo of the nearly 2 million dollars worth of one dollar bills hanging from the ceiling... Hope they are insured.

Perfect Plain: This newbie on the street is a hit with the locals and always packed. Feeling like a stretch? They sometimes offer yoga classes [yes, you read that correctly] as well as a full calendar of events. This is where all the cool kids are hanging out!

To Party

Seville Quarter: Can't do a post about downtown without mentioned the good ol' Seville Quarter. This place IS Pensacola nightlife. It's always packed and if you want to shake your tail feather [do people still say that!?] or watch some killer dueling pianos, this is your spot.
