The New Hilton Garden Inn attached to Heathrow Airport

Planning a trip to England and want to make your life a little easier? Book a stay at the new Hilton Garden Inn attached to Heathrow airport’s terminal 2. It’s the ONLY hotel that’s connected to the Heathrow central terminals so it’s definitely your best bet if you want a seamless commute and a worry-free start (or end) to your vacation.

The Hilton Garden Inn is full of great amenities to help you feel at home, including:

  • King-size beds which are really hard to find in Europe.

  • Tons of USB ports so you don’t have to fight with your travel partner(s) over who gets to charge their phones.

  • Room service (with a kid’s menu) AND a laundry/valet service

  • Cribs and highchairs available upon request

The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the airport runways so you can watch the planes take off and land, and yet the windows are completely soundproof so you don’t have to worry about any noise interrupting your beauty sleep. I wish I could get some of those windows installed in my own house...Not to mention they’re SO CLEAN I managed to walk right into them...twice...

The Hilton features several options for food and drinks, including a “grab ‘n go” snack shop near the lobby that had a bunch of healthy snack options to bring with you on your flight. The Hilton is also home to the Apron Bar and Restaurant, and unlike typical airport food this menu was excellent. I had the tomato soup which was ACTUALLY delish, and Dylan had a really yummy chicken marsala.

If you have some time to kill, head on up to the rooftop and enjoy a front row seat watching the planes take off. OR, take the Heathrow Express and be in London within minutes. There’s never a shortage of things to do in London, from historic Trafalgar Square to the National Gallery, Big Ben and Windsor Castle. Maybe you’ll even get lucky and run into Harry and Megan (we didn’t, I looked...trust me.)

But the most important feature of the Garden Hilton (in my opinion) was that there is a bridge that connects the hotel to terminal 2. It was so nice to wake up, have a nice breakfast and not have to worry about rushing to the airport or getting stuck in traffic because we were basically already there. It cut down majorly on travel time and we were able to use that extra time to relax and enjoy our last little bit of time in Europe.

Travelling can be stressful, especially internationally, so take a tip from us and consider staying at the Heathrow Garden Hilton so you can spend your time thinking about all the cool stuff you’ll get to see on your trip and not on how to get to and from the airport.
